I was expecting it to be something I stuck in my 8 year-old's box for "practice." Nope. He might get 2 or 3 of them, but dad gets the rest. The base materials are decent; hooks and hardware are okay. More time will tell how they hold up, but they travel fairly true through the water and first time out, he (not me) landed a baby small mouth (yes- with the "trout" kit). Don't know if I'd want anything big to hit, but for the price, you can't go wrong. I fish some dirty, stumpy waters and I'm getting pretty sick of donating $20 in tackle to the water godz every time out. If you want to take a chance of dropping in close to that gear-eating log, why not do it with something that set you back $1.50? It's also nice to be able to play with different color combos on different days in different waters to see what the fish are liking. I keep a notepad in my box to log what hit what, where, and under what conditions. This...
