I took this spinnerbait out this morning to give it a try on what was a cool, breezy morning. After a few casts, a decent sized large-mouth hit the lure. I wasn't expecting much because the water temps are still low, but nonetheless, this seemed to be an irresistible lure.

I have had great success fishing with various Strike King spinnerbaits and their colors. The bleeding color has been great in the middle TN lakes where I fish, particularly at Old Hickory. It works well in the grass and this bait kills the bass in the summer.

I needed a new spinner bait since most of my old ones had skirts that fell off on the first cast. I bought this on Amazon because I did not want to travel 10 miles to grab some more and the reviews looked promising. I must say that it is much smaller than I thought it would be and much lighter as well. I was using a Med weight rod with 12lb test so that probably made a huge difference in how it worked/felt. With my setup I could barely feel it and my accuracy was horrid. But, after about 5 casts it worked and I landed a 19" Largemouth. Ok, Ok, maybe it was only 9 inches but it worked. I would recommend this if you are using lighter gear.
